There are some other wall decals here that are just lovely: http://www.weegallery.com/indexus.html as well as some other great things you can use to decorate for a sweet little babe.

It’s definitely worth asking your landlord if he/she minds you painting, as long as it’s not pepto pink or anything like that. I’ve never had a landlord who has not okay with that in any of my five rentals : )

Thrifting is also a great way to find decorations – mirrors, shelves, baskets – all kinds of things that can add charm to your baby girl’s room without going way beyond your budget for a room that is only hers temporarily.

Good luck, and enjoy! I’m in the same boat, so I’ll be watching your answers : )

EDIT: From Wee Gallery, I just found this great blog. Apartment Therapy has some great tours of incredibly well put together nurseries. Might spark some ideas: http://www.ohdeedoh.com/ohdeedoh/nursery-tours/nursery-tour-baby-os-closet-sanctuary-on-a-budget-060922 : )

Yes you can buy these lovely peelable stickers that don’t damage wall paper from BnQ http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB%2fcategories%3c%7b9372013%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b9372032%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b9372138%7d%2fspecificationsProductType%3Dchildren_s_wall_stickers&fh_reftheme=promo_159030003%2cseeall%2c%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB%2fcategories%3c%7b9372013%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b9372032%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b9372138%7d&fh_refview=summary&icamp=ns_1

Howver it won’t hurt to ask your landlord if you could perhaps paint one wall as long as you re-paint it when before you leave.

Our landlord let us us, so long as we took it back to neutral later on. x

    Hi hun,

We have just started decorating our little ones nursery. We asked our landlord if we could paint the room and she said as long as it was a pale neutral colour we could, so we have gone for a pale lemon yellowy colour (don’t know if we are having a pink or a blue baby!), and we have also put up some safari animal wall stickers (called Stikarounds), which are really good. They are kind of non-sticky stickers if you see what i mean so they can be peeled off and restuck loads of times and dont leave any marks! I would recommend those. Also, we have done little things like changing the lampshade and curtains, just things that we can put the originals back up if we ever move out, it makes it look more like your own home. Have fun!

    xx

I just put these cute Alphabet stickers on my Baby Shower list:

but also have look at these ones — they’re pretty huge and more expensive, but the effect is fabulous:

    http://www.amazon.com/Jungle-Safari-Room-Make-Over/dp/B0010E3O8A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1251196566&sr=1-2

Both options are gender neutral too, so you can do it before the baby arrives if you don’t know the sex. Also consider putting up a border at the ‘picture rail’ or ‘dado/chair rail ‘ level. You can even put it above the baseboard, which is perfect for baby’s crawling height!
