Decorating ideas for french country style kitchen.?
Help! My living room & kitchen are side by side. Living room is painted ‘gambol gold’ (a dark golden yellow) & I have a large red couch & rug w/ Waverly red & gold toile fabric accents and curtains.
The bathroom adjacent to the living room entryway is off of the kitchen. It is wallpapered in a red & gold toile paper w/ white accents & cabinetry.
The kitchen has white farmhouse cabinets, black granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen also has a large bay window. I have the Le Rooster collection dishes, serving plates, etc. These are all multi colored dishes w/ rust red, green, gold, black, etc. www.reflectionsgallery.us/WebPages/LeRooster.htm
Currently I have a few of the plates hanging on the wall for decoration.
Here is my question (finally!)…….What color would look best for the kitchen walls? I would like to do green color, but don’t want the house to look like a crayon box of colors & I am not sure if green goes w/french country

I think great would look fabulous. Check out "dried thyme" or "knitting needles" by Sherwin Williams. The red, green & gold really do coordinate well together.
As for the question about green & French Country, here are examples of all kinds of French Country furniture with a light sage paint:

The mind boggles.
Only really cheap bad restaurants in France have that decor.Go to France. Stop decorating with Roosters. Its insulting to the French!
you could do green if you get the right color – like a rich avocado – and do like this attachment – so beautiful:

These are the most beautiful kitchens I have ever seen – you should be inspired by them:
