We have put up the wallpaper but you can see splotches of glue in random areas on the top of it. How can we remove it?

Use warm to hot water and blot it. White soft cloth is best to use.
Carefully though, you don’t want to loosen the glue that is holding the paper up.
water and vinegar, i think. lol
home depot has wallpaper cleaner which removes that helps with that exact problem.
it’s like 5dollars
Go to a paint store (or the paint section at your local hardware store) and buy some "Dif". It’ll do the trick!
pure fabric softener liquid with a rag soak, let sit and wipe off.
Try the magic eraser by mr.clean, that stuff does wonders.
If it is the glue from prepasted paper, I use a diluted solution of dish soap in warm water. Rub gently
you have to use one o them
1.use benzene on it.
2.Fraze it (don’t ask how because I don know )

although i have not tried this myself, i have been reading about rubbing alcohol or surgical spirit. i am using it to clean my laptop. perhaps dilute it to begin with although it should be mild enough to use it neat. i would suggest a test using a scrap piece of the wallpaper.
