re-decorating my room?
my room now is purpleish/blue and it has a wallpaper border of matching colored flowers.my bedding matches and the sheets,skirt,and pillows are white.my head board is white. my parents wont let me re-do it because they said that i should be happy with what i have. i also want to re-paint it. i’m 14, a freshman in HS, and we are building a lake house , so there would be a tight budget.
how/where could i go for ideas
yet alone convince them for me to be able to re-decorate my room?
I just went through re-decorating in my whole house. I started by watching HGTV and getting ideas from hgtv.com as well. They have many great low budget decorating ideas. I would get rid of the wall paper and repaint. The find the right paint, tape a strip of the color you want on the wall and look at it during the day and at night. Colors tend to change with different lighting. But make sure find a buddy who can help you repaint and run your ideas by her as well. Good luck! =)
Nice life building a lake house! To change your look, get a new Duvet cover in a heavy cream color, then add pale green and yellow pillows and other colors you like to add to your purple/blue theme. If you can repaint, I would go with a heavy cream color on the walls. Rearrange your furniture, and maybe change your window coverings (I like white shutters) and you should be able to do a makeover for about $200.
