My dad gave me a home before he died. Its a very old house where I grew up and I am not sure how much money to pour into it. I am thinking about using a can of semi gloss paint to paint this spare bedroom a very minty colored green and put some minty colored plaid curtains up over the windows with some very brightly colored border.
I am not sure about painting over the old wallpaper. Its not peelable. My parents put up drywall and they put the wallpaper on the drywall without painting 1st, so as you can imagine its stuck.
How will it look when I get done?

We moved house in April and the decor in the lounge is really annoying me now. Basically it is a big room (sort of lounge/diner size) with a pinky purple carpet and matching curtains at the patio doors. The walls are a dark pinky purple wallpaper on the bottom half, have a cream dado(sp) rail, then have a light pinky purple wallpaper with darker flowers on the top half (plus a matching border above the dado rail as they seemed to be obsessed by borders!)

Although I like pinky purple it’s all a bit much so I want to redecorate. We can’t really afford to get a new carpet or curtains so need to do something with the walls to calm it down a bit. I was thinking of just magnolia but the there is also a cream fireplace and I’m not sure if that would look strange.

So I’m looking for some decorating suggestions/ideas

Help! My living room & kitchen are side by side. Living room is painted ‘gambol gold’ (a dark golden yellow) & I have a large red couch & rug w/ Waverly red & gold toile fabric accents and curtains.

The bathroom adjacent to the living room entryway is off of the kitchen. It is wallpapered in a red & gold toile paper w/ white accents & cabinetry.

The kitchen has white farmhouse cabinets, black granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen also has a large bay window. Here is my question (finally!)…….What color would look best for the kitchen walls? I would like to do green color, but don’t want the house to look like a crayon box of colors & I am not sure if green goes w/french country

my fiance and I are planning how we are going to furnish and decorate our bedroom. We are going to go look
for the suitable furniture tomorrow and we’ll buy it if we find what we are looking for. So the bedroom (my
fiance’s room) is actually a bit too small to be decorated the way I have always wanted to. But I still have
a lot on my mind about making this small room a dream bedroom. I want to make this small room look spacious, cosy and romantic at the same time! So I think light pink would be the best colour to go for. like, everything would be pink, walls,
all the pieces of furniture, curtains and carpet. (The ceiling would remain white to reflect light). It would
look so cute and cosy.

What do you think ???

I really need help with what kind of furniture I should buy. And
what colors should I choose for the wallpapers? and whether or not carpet would be okay for a small bedroom.

I am going to decorate my room and would love a feature wall with, fuchsia pink flowery wallpaper, or something similar, any ideas where i could get it from? i am a teenager!

Also anyone know any where with bedroom accessories in fuchsia, pink or purple such as cushions, curtains, storage boxes?

i want to know what wallpaper would match this, i want it to look modern, but i cant get new furniture, i just want to match with what iv already got.

also what wardrobe doors would match this scheme, i currently have white doors but they look kind of silly and out of place, what colour do you recommend.
