Upper class irish woman, aged 75: What does her bedroom look like? I need to design a set for a play.?

Any suggestions welcome. What type of wallpaper, furniture, paintings, bedside lamps, rugs? If you can try to picture a typical room of a posh Irish lady in her seventies. What way would she have decorated her room in the 1960’s and 70’s? I need to design a set for a play. I want the room to look as if time stood still.

We have decorated our bedroom and due to the wallpaper I have chosen, I wanna go for a french boudoir look.. Any ideas on on what kinda furniture we should get?? Looking for bedside tables… I don’t want it over the top, because this is for my husband and me to sleep in!!

Think Ireland/England village type cottage. I’ve found some stone wallpaper that I love, but everyone says I shouldn’t do all four walls with this. Any suggestions how to make a room look like a stone cottage as well as furniture, etc.?

What are alternatives to painting apartment walls?

I’ve got plain white walls in my apartment and I’m trying to find alternatives to painting them as I am not allowed to do anything to the walls that would be considered permanent such as painting, or putting up wallpaper. I’m not looking for decorating tips on how to liven up the space with furniture or accessories, I’m just hoping that there is some sort of alternative to paint that gives the impression of the walls being painted. Thanks!

Decorating a small bedroom. Help please?

my fiance and I are planning how we are going to furnish and decorate our bedroom. We are going to go look
for the suitable furniture tomorrow and we’ll buy it if we find what we are looking for. So the bedroom (my
fiance’s room) is actually a bit too small to be decorated the way I have always wanted to. But I still have
a lot on my mind about making this small room a dream bedroom. I want to make this small room look spacious, cosy and romantic at the same time! So I think light pink would be the best colour to go for. like, everything would be pink, walls,
all the pieces of furniture, curtains and carpet. (The ceiling would remain white to reflect light). It would
look so cute and cosy.

What do you think ???

I really need help with what kind of furniture I should buy. And
what colors should I choose for the wallpapers? and whether or not carpet would be okay for a small bedroom.
Any ideas you tried and found effective. Please it’s urgent.

OK now I’m just 15 and I’m thinking about redecorating i want an honest opinion now how does this sound. One of my walls a black & white Zebra print wallpaper all other walls in a chocolate brown, furniture also some things with zebra prints & chocolate & cream based colours. hey i’m trying to decorate my room. i’ve decided on a laura ashley wallpaper, but i have no idea where i could get mirrored furniture not too expensively from, or if there are any home interior websites i could browse through.
