How to get glue off of front of wallpaper?

We have put up the wallpaper but you can see splotches of glue in random areas on the top of it. How can we remove it?

First, there was only a single layer of wallpaper that was on the wall and the wall is bare. It appears to have been primed (I think thats the term for it?) but there are some areas where you can really see the green board well. Besides washing all of the residual wallpaper glue off, spackling areas that were damaged in the removal, and priming… is there something else I should be doing? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

We moved into a house with ugly wallpaper in the kitchen and there is a lot of tiny corners and up high above cabinets. I don’t how to get it down. they had it put on professionally and that means there is a lot of glue i guess!! What should i use?

I am painting the interior of a nursing home. Because of financial restraints, they want to paint over existing wallpaper. Because of the elderly residents, the less smell , the better. The existing paper is tight on the wall. I have been told that latex primer could break down the glue under the existing paper if used. That I should definitely use an oil based primer. Which product works on wallpaper and minimizes the oder and fumes? Thanks for any help you can give me. Mike Sherrod

Fortunately for me, the top layer of the wallpaper (the initial covering) removed completely with just a few pulls. However, the back of the paper with the glue remains. I’ve heard of using vinegar and water and also water and cheap fabric softener. I’m concerned about the plaster walls – they are 65 years old. Has anyone some advice on what works best? Thanks!

wallpaper…………?

how can i remove wallpaper and wallpaper border without it tearing and leaving behind the glue and paper????

The wallpaper is red, made by Stroheim & Romann. We’ve tried hot water, hot water & vinegar, and a diluted solution of wallpaper stripper. Nothing has worked so far! I called the manufacturer and they say too much time has passed to safelt remove the glue. It runs along all the seams and is also present on the surface of the paper. I’ll try anything! Thanks.

Many months ago we removed old wallpaper using Dif and a lot of elbow grease. The walls looked pretty good. Yesterday I painted one wall with primer to see if I would notice any glue. Unfortunately, I could see that there was lots of glue still on the wall (now under the primer). Does anyone know how to fix this? How do I remove the glue now that it has a coat of primer over it? Thank you!

How to line dresser drawers with wallpaper?

Hi, I have brought Laura Ashley wallpaper to line my dresser drawers with. The papertern pat matches the curtians I have, so it should look quite nice. The question I have is; What should I use to stick the wallpaper to the drawers? Just ordinary glue? how much should I put on? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Rhianna x
Hi, thanks, I did consider wallpaper paste, but I thought it’s a little to messy and time consuming as it’s just for drawers?

Can you tile over wallpaper in a bathroom?

I want to get rid of the wallpaper, but when I went to remove it, the glue has literally melted into the drywall. What is the best way to remove it without wrecking the drywall? Or can I just tile over the wallpaper?
