i’ve heard all kinds of ways to remove wallpaper from people who have heard it from some t.v. show BUT who has actually used one of those methods ie. fabric softener, steamer….etc. with success?

I need a steamer to take off the old wallpaper in a room. I was wondering if anyone knows where you can rent one?

It is crackling through the paint and the wall looks terrible (but you can’t see the underlying layers; it just looks like moisture has got behind the wallpaper in some spots).
What type of steamer are you meaning?

I’m helping my sister and brother-in-law fix up their house. The previous owner had applied wallpaper, then painted the walls. Pretty stupid, yes, but the question now is, "How do we get the stuff off?"

Currently we’ve got this thick paint stripper and allowing it to soak. That only gets the paint off. Then, we take this steamer and steam the wallpaper off.

It’s a huge undertaking; a big pain in the arse. We have three more rooms like this. There’s got to be a faster way.

Your experience needed! Now that we removed our wallpaper using a professional steamer, we have a glue residue left on the drywall. How do we remove this safely? Running over the steamer over the areas just isn’t doing the trick, and Im concerned about damaging the drywall. Any advice?
