I got most of it off the floor with nail polish remover, but some of it splashed onto the wallpaper around the floor. Nail polish remover worked a little, until it started rubbing off the color on the paper. Any suggestions??

I know there is a chemical you can use but it’s not the most ventilated area and I have a small child so I don’t want to use that. What are some other ways I can get it down?
I would paint over it but it is already peeling in spots and especially in the corners so I don’t think it would look good.
