We hung wallpaper in our home about 6 months ago. How can we get the extra glue off the surface of the paper?

The wallpaper is red, made by Stroheim & Romann. We’ve tried hot water, hot water & vinegar, and a diluted solution of wallpaper stripper. Nothing has worked so far! I called the manufacturer and they say too much time has passed to safelt remove the glue. It runs along all the seams and is also present on the surface of the paper. I’ll try anything! Thanks.

This is some stubborn glue if hot water didn’t remove it. The glue may have stained the paper it sounds like. If that is the case I’d go to the store where you bought it and ask for a rep to come and determine if the product is faulty. They will replace the product, and most times pay to have it re-installed. If it has not stained the paper try a wallpaper removing solution such as Diffs. It has enzymes that break down the glue, but mostly it is the hot water you mix it with. This is a new one to me.

you might have to take it down or try a mix of paint thinner with a bit of water in it hope it works for you …
