What is the fastest way to get paint and wallpaper off walls?

I’m helping my sister and brother-in-law fix up their house. The previous owner had applied wallpaper, then painted the walls. Pretty stupid, yes, but the question now is, "How do we get the stuff off?"

Currently we’ve got this thick paint stripper and allowing it to soak. That only gets the paint off. Then, we take this steamer and steam the wallpaper off.

It’s a huge undertaking; a big pain in the arse. We have three more rooms like this. There’s got to be a faster way.

You are doing it the best way. Keep up the good work.

I think the steamer works the best you have one person steam and the others rip

For wallpaper, the best bet is scoring it then spraying it with vinegar and water and use a scraper. It dries pretty fast so spray as you go, but it works wonders. The wallpaper will pretty much peel off. Much better than the stuff you buy at the Big Orange Place.
