Here’s the best way to remove wallpaper:

    1. Buy a scoring tool at your local hardware store. It looks like a pizza cutter with spikes. Run this everywhich way all over the walls to make little holes in the wallpaper.
    2. Put blue windshield washer fluid in a spray bottle. Spray this all over the wallwaper (it works WAY better than DIF) and wait 10 minutes. Spray it again and wait 3 minutes.
    3. Remove the wallpaper. If parts are still stubborn, simply use a putty spreading knife to scrape it off.

Whatever you do, don’t use Fabric Softener as it is slimy and it will take forever to get this off the wall. If you want to paint after removing the paper, fabric softener will stop the painting tape and paint from properly adhering to the wall.

Old wallpaper that won’t come off just by pulling it off needs to be steamed off. I don’t know what a DIF is, but rent a good wallpaper steamer and go to work with a spatula. It will all come off given enough steam.

Ask at the builder’s yard for ’steamer’. It is this circle thing you put water into it. You plug it at the electric. it has this hoover-line pipe where it has a square on top of the end. You put that on the wall, and while hodling it, it steems and you scrape the wallpaper off. It comes out so smooth, believe me, its really lovely and clean work!

Get a heavy duty steamer and a extra large puddy knife and your journey will begin. Well, you can use the Zinnsser to strip off the wall paper but at the same time use a heavy duty steamer or a very HOT blowdryer. Not the kind for your head either…

Good luck… It won’t take you long whatsoever…

Knock down the wall………. Now the real way sorry I digressed. Use a heat gun as it will dry out the glue and make it peel off the wall very easy. Depending on how old the paper is you can re-wet it sometimes as well and it will come off. I have heard acetone works but never have had to use it as the other ways worked

Home Depot has a tool with teeth and you roll on the paper and then spray it with wallpaper remover. It works well.

    Fork lifts are fairly efficient.

use steam , try using a rag dipped in hot water (rung out) and placed over the wall paper hold it on the w p for a couple of moments then peel it off it takes alot of time to strip paper off

Try and take your fingernail at a seam and pull it, if you can pull the top layer of paper off your home free. This top layer is the vinyl and the remaining paper is paper which by taking a spray bottle with HOT water saturate it, wait a couple minutes and with a wide putty knife scrape off the paper and remember to try and be careful not to rip the paper facing on your sheetrock. If your paper was hung properly by sizing the walls first it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. People seem to always recommend the "paper tiger" to puncture the vinyl so the moisture will reach the under paper, this is fine if you go real lightly because too much pressure you end up scoring your sheetrock resulting in having to skim coat walls in the end.. Make sure to remove all paste residue for a good paint job, if you feel you can’t get it all then Zinseer also makes a product called "gardz" which will lock the old glue down and no problems with the new coat of paint. Good luck Les the painter

It is an act of patients. It will take a liquid wallpaper paste remover a little TSP and hot water. It works best if you can close off an area that you are working. Keep the door closed in a bed room or bath. Put something down to keep the floor reasonably dry. Use a pump up garden sprayer and get the walls wet. If the paper has a vinyl covering you may pull it off to get the paper wet. wet the entire room and keep the windows steamed up. When you can pull a full sheet wet it down again and start pulling. I clean up the paste from the wall right after I pull the sheet. It is easy because all the paste is activated and can be washed with ease. Keep a few buckets one being a clean rinse. One with TSP in it. You can do it like a professional.
